The low-speed, high-torque permanent‑magnet motor drive system specially designed for bucket elevators is an efficient drive solution developed by our company to meet the unique operating characteristics of this equipment. The system integrates a low‑speed, high‑torque permanent‑magnet motor with a single‑ or two‑stage gear reducer featuring a small reduction ratio, paired with a sensorless vector‑control inverter. It delivers constant‑torque operation at reduced speeds and provides output isolation, directly replacing the conventional “asynchronous motor + coupling + gearbox + auxiliary drive + backstop” configuration. As a low‑speed‑to‑low‑speed system—operating at motor speeds of only 0–350 r/min—it significantly minimizes wear on gears, bearings, and oil seals. Consequently, it boasts a compact structure, small footprint, light weight, energy efficiency, low vibration and noise, and high safety and reliability, enabling heavy‑load start‑up and smooth acceleration/deceleration while virtually eliminating the need for routine maintenance.
