The drainage pump station for the southern extension and improvement project of a port in Shanghai is a newly constructed unidirectional pumping station. It is designed to handle a flow rate of 60 m³/s, with an operating net head ranging from 0.0 m to 3.87 m. The station is equipped with four sets of 2200ZXB15-3.4 type inclined axial-flow pump units arranged in a single row, with the impeller center elevation set at −1.427 m. The pump station’s bottom slab measures 33.0 m in the downstream direction and 26.3 m in the transverse direction.
The pumping station is equipped with four sets of 30° inclined axial-flow pump units, each with a design flow rate of 15.0 m³/s, an impeller diameter of 2.0 m, and a rotational speed of 178 r/min. The blades are of a semi-adjustable type, with a design installation angle of 0°.
The main motor is a vertically mounted high-voltage permanent‑magnet synchronous motor manufactured by Rizhao Dongfang, model RMS710‑30‑900, with a rated voltage of 10 kV, a rated power of 900 kW, 30 poles, and an operating frequency of 45 Hz. It is started using a dedicated variable‑frequency drive, enabling adjustment of the main pump’s speed. The motor is directly coupled to the pump via a rigid shaft connection.
