In particular, when a permanent‑magnet direct‑drive motor is used to power the load, substantial energy savings are achieved across a wide load range of 20% to 120%. The drive system is essentially maintenance‑free, greatly reducing maintenance costs, while its compact size and light weight minimize the need for foundation modifications and lower retrofit expenses.
